Jeffrey Hester was called in 2021 to pastor Family Baptist Church. He was born and raised in Pleasant View, Tennessee on a family farm raising and showing Tennessee Walking Horses. He accepted the Lord as his personal Savior at a very early age and surrendered to the ministry during high school. Jeffrey went on to major in Agriculture Sciences to prepare him for his career of working within the Tennessee Extension organization. During his work, God placed him working as a youth pastor for several years. It was in 2016 where he felt the Lord calling him deeper into the ministry, humbly submitting himself to the conviction of the Holy Spirit. He was licensed that year by Edgemont Baptist Church of Shelbyville, TN and ordained into the ministry in 2021 by Mt. Hermon Baptist Church of Clarksville, TN. Of course to every good man, there is even a greater woman standing next to him. Jeffrey married the love of his life, Kyla, in September 2019. There’s a lot to say about how these two lives came together because Jeffrey met Kyla when they were 10 years old in Laredo, Texas while he and his family were on a mission trip with Rio Grande Missionary Help.

They both knew God always has greater plans than their own. Together they surrendered to God’s will to allow Him to lead, landing them here in Laredo, Texas to pastor Family Baptist Church.
